Project Showcase: Private Ferry Company - Timesheet and Crew Scheduling Software Implementation - Onsite Support
In the ever-changing world of private ferry transportation, efficiency and accuracy are paramount. I was contracted to provide comprehensive onsite support, one-on-one training and technical troubleshooting to a workforce of 270 unionized and non-unionized employees. Traveling to 11 different vessels, 10 ferry terminals and 1 warehouse over the span of 4 months; coordinating schedules, logistics and navigating “weather events”.
When being onsite was not an option, support was delivered remotely over WebEx, email and phone.
As the needs of each employee were unique, I tailored support and provided one-on-one training sessions to address the specific needs of each member. This included tailoring support and instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles, technology comfort, unique personalities, operational availability - maintaining 100% flexibility to minimize disruptions to operations.
Working with a team that spanned multiple departments, employees, contractors, the project's anticipated roll out date was the Summer of 2023.
